River Café and Terrace

After visiting the Grand Palace, catch a long boat back along the Chao Phraya River and alight at the Oriental Hotel stop. Now owned by the Peninsula Group, the Oriental Hotel has hosted many famous writers including Joseph Conrad, Somerset Maugham, John Le Carre, James Michener and Ian Fleming. Here you can enjoy a restful meal, in the River Café and Terrace, overlooking the traffic on the river which runs through the heart of Bangkok. Meals include buffets or a la carte. In the evening the combination of candlelight and Klong is simply intoxicating.
