Snorkelling sites

While Thailand’s bevy of amazing beaches, historical landmarks and lush, green jungles should not be discounted as must see destination, remember that Thailand’s riches do not end once you leave the land. Some of the most amazing sights to see in Thailand are situated underwater.

The islands of Phi Phi, Similan and Surin all offer fantastic underwater experiences, for all price ranges. Below are some websites to help guide those who are aching to see some of the more beautiful oceans in the world.

The largest attraction in Phi Phi is the glistening, unspoiled water, and again, the amazing aquatic life. While many tours exist online, the smart bet is to take a walk down Main Street where many long boat drivers offer day tours on their long boats. Trips include snorkelling, cliff jumping and a trip to the famous Ko Phi Phi Leh, which came to worldwide prominence when it was used as the set of Leonardo DiCaprio’s film ‘The Beach’. It truly has to be seen to be believed. Prices are very affordable and drivers are more than willing to come to an agreement on price. See it here.
