The Mutdapilly Music Muster is a unique cultural event in Queensland’s Scenic Rim, designed to entertain families, young folk, retirees and the motoring and live music enthusiast. Friday 25 March features the Mutdapilly Moonlight Dance for those who love a great country dance with a rock n roll feel. On Saturday 26 March a great country muster unfolds with Bush Poets, Bush Balladeers, a Unique and Classic Car ‘Show and Shine’, rides for children, food and craft stalls, Variety Talent Quest and culminating into the evening with a fabulous rock’n’roll and country music concert headlined by James Blundell. 7-10 April – Jupiters National Finals Rodeo, Broadbeach
Jupiters National Finals Rodeo will be held indoors for the fifth consecutive year at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre Broadbeach over four huge days and nights.The spectacular multi-million dollar event – Australia’s largest rodeo is the Grand Finale of the APRA season and sees the cowboys and cowgirls competing in six events – Bareback Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, Saddle Bronc Riding, Team Roping and Bull Riding. 28 April – 08 May 2011 – HMB Endeavour Circumnavigation Voyage – Brisbane
The Australian National Maritime Museum’s magnificent replica of Captain Cook’s ship HM Bark Endeavour will make an historic circumnavigation of Australia in 2011 to 2012.
The finely crafted wooden vessel will visit 18 ports on the 13 month voyage. And in 15 of the ports it will open for public inspection as a floating museum, displaying the living and working conditions on one of history’s great voyages of discovery – Cook’s circumnavigation of the globe in 1768 to 1771.
