Hot foot it to Hamilton Island

Nestled in the azure waters which surround the Whitsundays is one of Australia’s true holiday gems, Hamilton Island. Spending time on the island really does mean leaving all your worries behind you, as the relaxed pace, thanks in the main to no private cars being allowed on the island, helps you to unwind and soak up the tropical vibe. Owned by the Oatley family, Hamilton Island is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and one of the world’s most amazing beaches, Whitehaven.

This fully integrated island means there’s no need to take your wallet with you when you head out, just show your room key, however, you may just want to keep an eye on your itemised bill each day! Whether it’s lazing the day away on Catseye Beach, snorkelling around the Great Barrier Reef, or taking on one of Australia’s most challenging golf courses, you’ll be hard pushed to find a more enjoyable holiday.

I would highly recommend a break on Hamilton, having been there a few times and never disappointed. Just a word of caution though, It can be more expensive than an overseas getaway.

buby, I don't know if you know the area but there are 70 plus islands that make up the Whitsundays and it is a great place to sail especially to watch the sunset. Sail so you can soak up the beauty and serenity without the sound of a motor.
John Lennon used to own a house there. Very secluded with great views. I have been to every place on the island. Every restaurant, bar, church, the flying fox, mini golf, clay shooting, sailing. Hire a golf buggy to get around and enjoy a great break. :)

buby, please don't let that stop you from going. You will need to consider buggy hire to get around etc.

thanks frank i will note that. Yes i have a very bad back and probably wouldn't be able to walk much, so hire a buggy i would have to do.

Usually as i get some then i answer in due course.
So i'm not sure where the hold up was, sorry Frank :(
