New York City presses pause

If you’ve ever been to New York City, you’ll know that it is one busy place. So, for some, this imagery of New York City eerily empty will be hard to believe, but then these are the strange days in which we’re living.

The city and surrounds were literally emptied of its millions of citizens, tourists and visitors in an attempt to flatten the curve.

And yet, with the streets cleared and the city literally evacuated, New York City has still recorded 197,000 COVID-19 cases and 16,410 deaths at the time of writing.

Warmer weather has brought New Yorkers out of self-isolation, so it may be some time before we see images again like those seen in this video.

Well, one can only hope.

Video from Untapped New York.

Have you been to New York City? Do these images shock you? Would you return or visit some day?
