Be amazed by the beauty that New Zealand has to offer

Experience the romance of rail travel, the majesty of cruising and the luxury of coach on this enthralling holiday. Beginning on the South Island, you’ll make your way up to the North Island and will be amazed by the beauty that New Zealand has to offer.

This tour will take you to some of New Zealand’s major cities: Christchurch, Dunedin, Queenstown, Wellington and Auckland. You’ll also pass through smaller towns where you’ll get the chance to enjoy some extraordinary sights, including Mt Cook (New Zealand’s highest peak), Larnach Castle, Bowen Falls, Lake Taupo, Huka Falls, Cape Brett and the famous Hole in the Rock.

This tour truly highlights the magnificence of New Zealand. One of the great things about travelling in New Zealand is that there is so much to see and experience – and you won’t be driving massive distances between attractions, as you would in some parts of Australia.

Seniors Holiday Travel Team has coaches with two doors, which reduce the time you’ll spend getting on and off, meaning you can pack extra sightseeing into each day.

One of the tour’s special highlights is a cruise on TSS Earnslaw – a vintage twin screw steamer launched in 1912. You’ll cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station for a lakeside dinner at the Colonel’s Homestead, followed by a guided farm tour. Yes, of course there are sheep – this is New Zealand, after all! Then you’ll cruise back to Queenstown, while enjoying an old-fashioned sing along by the piano. You can watch the steam engine working while you cruise, and reminisce about a former era.

Seniors Holiday Travel Team has been sending two coach tours of travel club members to New Zealand since 2001, so if you want to find out why these wonderful, friendly tours are so popular, you know what to do.
