Being a tourist in your own land

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a tourist in your own country? That’s exactly what investigative journalist Jan Fran has done in her web documentary series Harmful or Helpful: What sort of traveller are you?

In this video, Fran checks in with tourism vendors and local attractions and hotspots to see what Aussies think of those who travel to our country, as well as whether our expectations of tourists match our own actions overseas.

Are you surprised by any of the attitudes in this video? Do you think, as a rule, that Australian tourists have a good reputation overseas?
