Travel Gadget: A travel tool to help you calculate costs and time

Font Size:

If you’re planning a complex holiday, being able to calculate how long you have, how much you can afford and the distances between points can save you heaps of time and money.

Meet Travelmath. It’s an online travel calculator that helps you work out travel distance and travel time. It’s even got a handy tool to help you figure out your travel costs.

But wait, there’s more. You can browse flight information and even work out flight distance and times. Or, if you’re planning a road trip, you can check out how far you’ll be driving, how much fuel will cost and how many stops you’ll need to take along the way – you can even check out available accommodation on your journey.

And for the more ‘geographically minded’, there’s a feature that shows you the latitude and longitude of any airport, accommodation, city, state, landmark or country.

Even if you don’t want to use it for travel planning it can be a lot of fun.

A rather useless piece of software, uses American gallons, fuel prices were not accurate, it just picked a figure without finding out what type of vehicle I am driving, average speed overestimated I do have to slow down for towns etc. Flights, nothing showed up but yes nothing is flying but it didn’t say that. To find flights it tried to go to one of the less liked Find a flight type sites. All it does is to revert to Google or Bing for other information.
