APT’s Kimberley Wilderness Adventures 2012 – OUT NOW

Have you always wanted to see the Kimberley but think it’s too rugged and remote –  think again. Explore the Kimberley with the experts and embark on a small group 4WD adventure along the remote outback roads of the Kimberley with APT, and truly immerse yourself in the beauty and drama of Australia’s last wilderness frontier.

Over the past two years APT has invested over $20 million to build an exclusive network of wilderness lodges on aboriginal land with minimal impact on the environment, and with respect for local communities. Located at Bell Gorge, the Mitchell Plateau and in the heart of World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park, the Wilderness Lodges are designed for you to enjoy some of the most remote regions of the Kimberley without compromising your comfort. Each lodge features stylish tented cabins with private ensuite bathrooms, with hearty breakfasts and freshly prepared three course dinners served with a complimentary glass of wine on offer.

APT’s state of the art fleet of 4WD vehicles take you to remote locations. Begin your journey in Broome and travel along the legendary Gibb River Road, where you’ll discover an arresting landscape of intensely coloured ranges, dramatic gorges and lush waterfalls. Heading north along the remote Kalumburu Road, you’ll roam the isolated Mitchell Plateau. See fascinating Aboriginal rock art sites and experience the stunning Mitchell Falls through hikes, a swim, and an included helicopter flight over the falls. Explore World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park, home of the famous beehive-shaped domes of the Bungle Bungle Range, Cathedral Gorge, Echidna Chasm and Piccaninny Creek.

APT’s Kimberley Wilderness Adventures 2012 brochure is out now. The brochure features a range of Small Group 4WD Adventures, ranging from 4 to 15 days, including Kimberley Cruising.
