Visiting Paris for the first time was a dream come true. And to walk up the steps out of the Metro, turn around and be in the presence of the famed Eiffel Tower was certainly a truly magical moment.
It was miserable cloudy winter’s morning and I debated whether or not to pay for the lift to the top of the Tower or come back another day – but my excitement won out and up I went and was rewarded with brilliant sunshine for my efforts.
To have a sunlit Paris at my feet was a memory I’ll not forget.
