Red Hill Brewery has been a Fallick family favourite for a few years now, but just what makes this eatery worth going back to time and time again?
Just off the most beautiful road, on the world’s best peninsula, is a hidden gem. Nestled amongst some 50 cellar doors is something entirely different – a brewery. And a great restaurant to boot. Opened in 2004 by Karen and David Golding, this beautifully located hops garden, brewery and eatery offers visitors to the Mornington Peninsula great food and the chance to sample different ales including golden ale, wheat beer and scotch ale, served on a tasting paddle. Dining is located in a rustic shed at the back of the brewery, where local birdcalls are heard in amongst the native bush. On a fine day you can sit outdoors, in winter it is always cosy inside.
We have been visiting the Red Hill Brewery since it opened and have never been disappointed by the quality of the food or the standard of hospitality. We love the setting, the ‘real’ people who run the business and the very unpretentious surroundings. As far as ‘dinkum di’ Australian eateries go, this has to be the best in the state.
