Saigon Sally

High tea on Mother’s Day is a tradition in Kaye’s family and this year it was just a little bit different, but oh so enjoyable!

Mother’s Day is always special simply because I am lucky enough to be a mother. So whether it’s a walk in the park, a cup of coffee or a hug on the sofa, I’m happy. Even an email or Facebook message if one of my girls is on the other side of the world makes me smile.

But yesterday was super special when SJ (aka YOURLifeChoices Style Queen) took me to her friend’s restaurant, Saigon Sally. And there we enjoyed the most amazing high tea – a cake stand of tiny delicacies including lobster rice paper rolls and spicy beef cigars. And then came desserts with pink and green macarons, ‘Gaytime’ lamingtons and madeleines.

Located just off Chapel Street in Melbourne’s Prahran, Saigon Sally is a funky, fun space with loads of personality. It’s also a bar, so you can head on down for a ‘Thank God it’s Friday’ celebration. The staff are friendly, the food is fantastic and if you get to dine there with SJ you’ll be guaranteed great service.
