Whether you like to admit it or not, life is much harder without a functioning mobile phone. And it’s difficult to think of a worse way to say sayonara to your smartphone than watching it swim (or sink) away.

With summer comes an array of water activities and thankfully, AquaSatch is the answer your phone has been searching for. Never fear the consequences of using your iPhone around water again. The AquaSatch Waterproof Phone Pouch protects your phone from water, sand, dust and snow while allowing touch screen apps to remain active.

Large enough to fit phones of a size up to six inches, the AquaSatch is IPX8, certified to enable submersion in water, waterproof to depth of 10 metres, shockproof and durable. It even comes with an armband and lanyard to leave both of your hands free for swimming, rafting, fishing, stand-up paddle boarding … the options are endless.

Not only restricted to use in summer or for protecting your smartphone, AquaSatch can keep your cards, passport, watch, keys, or any relatively small personal belongings safe while you hit the slopes, dunes or navigate backstreets in the pouring rain. This is the perfect companion for travellers; it’s a small preventative price to pay.

RRP: $26.95 (currently on sale from $29.95) from AquaSatch.

Now there's one gadget on the 'must have' list. I accidentally dropped my mobile recently in a paddle of water and it was virtually destroyed! Not to mention the loss of contacts list, plus a few very essential apps and photos. At last, something useful.
