Accessing DVA support

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs will continue to provide support and assistance for customers during the flooding where possible. YOURLifeChoices has details of which assistance is available.

Property Insurance – if your home has been affected by flooding and you have insurance with Defence Service Homes Insurance, you should contact your local customer services officer on 1300 552 662.

DVA payments – call DVA to discuss your circumstances on 133 254 (charged at local call rates)

Veterans’ Affairs Network (VAN) offices – if you have any queries or concerns regarding DVA services and support, or if you need to get in touch with a local support service, call 1300 55 1918

Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service (VVCS) – for support and confidential counselling, contact the VVCS on 1800 011 046, 24 hours a day.
