Fit to fly

New routes and air alliances can mean more travel options, so what’s new in the air and on the ground this week?

Australians can now turn their treadmill miles into travel miles thanks to Qantas’s partnership with Snap Fitness.

Offering points as part of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, Snap Fitness is the first health brand to be part of such an initiative. Members earn 100 Qantas Points per month and new members will receive between 1000 to 3500 bonus points for signing up.

The rewards program started on 8 August, so if you’re a Qantas Frequent Flyer it may be worth your while taking a look at the offer and giving your points balance a healthy head start each month.

Tiger takes off overseas

Tigerair Australia has announced that it will launch three new international routes from 23 March 2016.

Commencing operation of services to and from Bali, the flights will operate out of Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. The first international flights to be flown by Tigerair, the new routes are already available to book with prices starting from as low as $89 one way between Perth and Bali.

Using three Boeing 737-800 aircrafts from the Virgin Australia Group to operate the international flights, Bali was chosen for its appeal as a year-round leisure and family-favourite destination, that was visited by more than 1 million Australians last year.

What do you think of this addition to Tigerair’s timetable? Would you consider booking with them to go to Bali?

You can find out more at Tigerair.
