Is it a plane? No, it’s a pub

In a dream come true for most Aussie men, women too for that matter, Carlton Draft has launched the first ‘Pub on a Plane’.

In a re-fitted Gulfstream jet, the flying pub featured beer fresh from a keg – a first at that altitude. With the initial press trip in early November taking off from Essendon Airport, and flying over Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, the real deal is coming in March when Carlton Draft undertakes the ‘greatest pub tour in history’.

Taking off on yet another custom-designed plane, the Flying Pub Tour will transport more than 150 lucky drinkers across Australia to visit the best pubs in the land. Not only will this plane also feature an onboard bar, the tour will also be joined by comedians, musicians and sporting greats along the way, to provide in-flight entertainment.

Kicking off with activities at the MCG, the trip will visit five cities over seven days with nights spent in each city’s best pubs. A celebration of the changing face of pubs and their evolution into a place to bring the entire family for a decent meal, you can try to secure your seat on the greatest pub tour in history at participating pubs or on any Carlton Draught slab purchased from December onwards.
