The lights are down, the stage is set and now it’s time to meet the artists. The Apia Good Times Tour kicks off next week, with Joe Camilleri, Richard Clapton, Russell Morris and Leo Sayer all performing their top hits. But how much do you really know about these great Australian musicians? Read on to meet the legends behind the music.
Joe Camilleri is one of Australia’s favourite musicians. Having recorded as a solo artist, with Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons and The Black Sorrows he’s responsible for hits such as Hit & Run, Taxi Mary and Chained to the Wheel.
It’s been 40 years since Richard’s first album Prussian Blue, but in 2014 he shows no signs of slowing down. With over 20 albums to his name he keeps the hits coming and audiences entertained.
Aria Hall of Fame inductee, number one selling artist, king of pop and Aussie icon are just a few of the phrases commonly used when describing Russell. Shooting to fame in the middle 60s, Russell’s had a string of hits including The Real Thing.
Leo almost needs no introduction. With classic hits such as You Make Me Feel Like Dancing as well as appearances with the Muppets and the Wiggles, he’s loved by everyone from six to 60 years old.
The Apia Good Times Tour will be travelling around Australia between 30 April and 31 May 2014. To find out more or to book tickets visit the Apia Good Times Tour website.
