Concept vehicles are not just for car manufacturers. Aircraft manufacturer Airbus has released photos of what it believes will be the standard in air travel in 2050.
Definitely not for the faint hearted or the weary flyer, the concept aircrafts bionic structure would mimic the efficiency of bird bone which is optimised to provide strength where needed, and allows for an intelligent cabin wall membrane which controls air temperature and can become transparent to give passengers open panoramic views.
Personalised zones replace traditional cabin classes to offer tailored levels of experience. While travelling between destinations, according to Airbus, passengers in 2050 could join an interactive conference, a game of virtual golf, read the kids back home a bedtime story or recharge in a ‘vitalising seat’ while watching the planet spread out beneath their feet.
Webmaster Drew is hoping he will have overcome his fear of flying by the time these planes lift off in the future. Feedback from YOURLifeChoices Facebook followers was extremely positive for the new aircraft with five of the six comments posted wanting to fly in one… now!
