Dust off your dancing shoes and break out the leather, it’s time to party. The Apia Time of My Life tour presents four of the best voices in Australian rock; Daryl Braithwaite, Ross Wilson, Joe Camilleri and James Reyne
Last Friday at the Palais Theatre in St Kilda, Melbourne, four of the greatest voices on the Australian rock scene joined together to share their greatest hits and encourage the audience to get up and shake their collective booty. On stage were Ross Wilson, James Reyne, Joe Camilleri and Daryl Braithwaite. Age has definitely not wearied these pop icons of the 60s and 70s. In particular Daryl Braithwaite had a total party, dancing with his mic, playing air guitar and enjoying himself hugely while belting out Howzat, As The Days Go By and bringing the house down with an extended rendition of The Horses. Each performer delivered a solo bracket, with Ross Wilson as the opening act. At the end of the show they then joined forces to celebrate each other’s greatest hits, with a rousing finale of Daddy Cool’s Eagle Rock. An encore was inevitable. The Apia Time of My Life tour has already played in Melbourne and regional Victoria, but tickets are still on sale for Hobart, Launceston, Adelaide, Perth, Tweed Heads, Brisbane, Darwin, Sydney and Newcastle. Don’t miss it.
