$100 note’s days are limited

When was the last time you had $100 bill in your wallet? Probably too long ago to remember.

Well, the highly valued green note could soon be a thing of the past with the Australian Government considering whether to follow moves made by India and Venezuela to get rid of high-value notes.

Speaking on ABC radio yesterday, Revenue and Financial Services Minister Kelly O’Dwyer flagged that a review of the $100 note and cash payments over certain limits. This could assist the Government to recoup billions in unpaid tax.

Would anyone really notice if it was no longer there?
