Chinese firm 3D-prints building

Shanghai-based WinSun Decoration Design Engineering Co is building a reputation for innovation in the construction world. Using an enormous 150-metre long 3D printer, WinSun has built a five-story apartment building and a villa. The 3D printer uses a mixture of cement and other recycled construction waste to print affordable building materials, which are then pieced together into a structure.

The buildings might not be the most comfortable to live in, as this technology is still developing, but can you really argue with construction completed in a few days? Not to mention the staggeringly low price? The villa pictured above cost less than $200,000 to build.
