There’s no better way to enjoy a crisp Autumn day than with have a glass of local wine. Check out Campbells Wines for tasty platters – perfect with a glass of Rose. Or pop over the road to Stanton & Killeen to try their unique Portuguese varieties.
Albury-Wodonga is also home to some seriously good boutique breweries. Be sure to pop into Bridge Road Brewery or Bilsons Brewery in Beechworth and try a tasting paddle. Pair with some tasty food and you’re living your best life!

Getting out in nature and exploring the walks on offer at Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park may be more your speed. Mount Pilot Lookout is a great spot to start your adventure with 360-degree views overlooking the countryside (tip: pack some nibbles and a drink to complement the view).
For a longer stroll, check out the White Box Walking track (8.5km) and enjoy the spring wildflowers.
You can get your history fix at Jindera Pioneer Museum. Spread over two acres, the museum has it all. Working machinery, period clothing, furniture and day to day items from a bygone era. And you may as well hit up Walla Walla and climb Morgan’s Lookout. During his time, Mad Dog Morgan was a notorious bushranger who used the massive granite outcrop as a vantage point to spy on approaching victims and evade police. These days, the lookout gives panoramic views of the region – it’s well worth the climb.

What about the entire roof off? The Bended Elbow gives an inner-city relaxed pub vibe with a cracking menu to boot. In the heat of summer, be sure to stay cool under the water mist fans while sipping on a Margarita, a Mojito or a locally brewed ale or two.
Pop into Saludos and share some tapas with friends and family in their very own laneway, perfect for outdoor dining. Try some Patatas Bravas and Escalivada – delightful with a glass of Tempranillo or Sangria – and be transported to downtown Madrid!

If you haven’t set foot in Wodonga’s Church Street Hotel, it’s about time you did! Their menu is second to none for ‘pub grub’ but it’s the beer garden that will make you want to linger longer.
Dishing up some of the best street food around (and out of a shipping container mind you), Andiamo’s is a lunch date hot spot. Grab your food and your shot of vitamin D from under the shade of the picnic umbrellas or roll out a rug in Richardson Park.
The sun-dappled outdoor terrace of Huon Hill makes it a top spot to relax with a cold drink in hand or a meal with friends. And if you decide to make a real night of it, you can stay with them in their onsite accommodation.
