Banana Nice-Cream

It may be dairy- and gluten-free, but our Banana Nice-Cream is still full of flavour, simple to prepare and super delicious. Serve with some chopped walnuts and chocolate sauce for something truly delectable, or serve it alone to satisfy that sweet tooth.

Bananas are a great alternative to refined sugar when you are struck with a sweet tooth attack. I guarantee that you will find this easy-to-make recipe delicious (provided you like bananas). Please be aware though that sugar is sugar, regardless of what coat it is wearing. If you are diabetic or watching your sugar intake, all sugar should be eaten in moderation. You can also try substituting soy milk for another kind of milk if you like. Keep a few bananas in the freezer to have on hand just in case one of those cravings sneaks up on you…

Serves: Two
Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 large bananas, sliced and frozen
  • 1 cup unsweetened plain soy milk
  • 2 tablespoons creamy almond butter or peanut butter


Method
Place bananas, soy milk and nut butter into a blender. Purée contents, turning off the motor and stirring, until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Serve immediately
