Chilli Con Tuna

Our Chilli Con Tuna is a twist on the popular Mexican dish ‘chilli con carne’ – but is healthier, encouraging to you to get more fish in your diet, and less red meat.

Serves: Two

Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, peeled and chopped
  • 200g can tuna in spring water, not drained
  • 1 200g can tomatoes
  • 1 200g can beans of choice, drained
  • 1 teaspoons dried chilli flakes
  • steamed rice, to serve


Method

In a large pan, heat some olive oil and then add the onion and cook for about 10 minutes over medium heat until soft. Add the tuna and spring water, tomatoes, beans and chilli. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve with steamed and side salad.
