No-Bake Choc Peppermint Slice

Our Choc Peppermint Slice doesn’t require any baking and is a lot of fun to make. It looks beautiful, too, so why not impress your family and friends next time you want to make a sweet treat?

Makes: 16 slices

Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 250g Marie biscuits, crushed
  • 3/4 tin sweetened condensed milk
  • 100g butter, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 small drop peppermint essence
  • 200g peppermint chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 150g white chocolate
  • 3 drops green food colouring

Method

Using a food processor, crush the biscuits and then pour into a medium-sized bowl. Sift the cocoa into the crushed biscuits. In a saucepan over a low heat, melt the butter, peppermint chocolate and condensed milk. Once melted, pour this onto the crushed biscuits and mix well. Add a very small of the peppermint essence and stir. Spread the mixture into a slice pan lined with baking paper. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave, pour melted chocolate over the slice and quickly added the green food colouring and swirling with a skewer. Leave in the fridge to set, about 15 minutes, and then cut into squares.
