Quick Nectarine Tarts

Perfect for afternoon tea or a quick dessert, our Quick Nectarine Tarts are super easy to make. When fresh nectarines aren’t in season, the canned variety work just as well.

Serves: Four

Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen, ready-rolled puff pastry, partially thawed
  • 1/4 cup light cream cheese spread
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons raw sugar
  • 4 nectarines, sliced
  • pinch mixed spice

Method

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a tray with baking paper. Cut pastry into four squares and place on the tray. To a small bowl, add the cream cheese, one tablespoon of sugar and the mixed spice, and combine well. Spread over pastry squares and arrange the nectarine slices on top. Bake for 12 minutes and sprinkle with remaining sugar.

To take your tarts to the next level, top them with almond flakes and custard or ice cream.
