Why women want married men

A website for extramarital dating website reveals why single women prefer married men.

Why women want married men

Have you ever wondered why single women go for married men? Well Victoria Milan – a dating website for married or attached people looking for extramarital affairs – has surveyed over 5300 of its female members to ask that very question.

Turns out, the women surveyed felt that married men provide added excitement, better sex and more experience than single men.

Around 40 per cent of the Australian women registered on the site are married; 25 per cent are in a stable relationship and – perhaps the most surprising statistic – 30 per cent are single women looking for married men.

So why do they chase married men? Let’s have a look at the top 10 responses:

  1. More excitement (17 per cent)
  2. Better sex (14 per cent)
  3. More experience and self-confidence (12 per cent)
  4. No demands or expectations (11 per cent)
  5. The challenge of taking someone else’s men (10 per cent)
  6. No families involved (9 per cent)
  7. True appreciation of attention and efforts (8 per cent)
  8. Luxury and eroticism (8 per cent)
  9. No strings attached (6 per cent)
  10. The thrill of sin (5 per cent)

According to Sigurd Vedal, the founder and CEO of Victoria Milan: “This is purely about having a great time with someone looking for the same thing: excitement, sex and a level of experience to make it great.  It just so happens that married men are more likely to have these qualities than single men.”

The results also prove the maxim that people want what they can’t have. And with Victoria Milan’s membership becoming one of the world’s fastest growing social networks for cheaters – at 5 million members and counting – it would seem there’s a lot of people looking for greener pastures.

Its very clever of "Victoria Milan" to make a killing money-wise out of yet another human weakness!

This sounds like a Leon furphy. Plenty of bites though.
I'd be asking which age groups of women the survey covered. You know what they say: "lies, damned lies and statistics".

How very sad! Any of these women think of long term consequences to family life, trust' loyalty, let alone health consequences?

hey Sal, it takes two to tango. As a widow, I can tell you there are lots of married men out there just wanting a quick roll in the hay with no strings attached. One again, society is blaming the woman.

Judy, there is, and always has been money in sex. :)

No, wrong student. The blame for being unfaithful is always aimed at men. I'll bet it's the man's fault. The real reason why some single women go for married men is that the self centred bitches know they'll have little difficulty with a married man because he's got all to lose and she has nothing to lose. She can't compete on equal terms with a single guy.

Sound familiar? Like women can't compete on equal terms in anything and need special rules made up to get equality.

Interesting. Maybe it's an indication that 'Marriage' as defined by our socio/religious traditions needs a serious looking at. Monogamy is clearly as unnatural a condition as is celibacy. Either condition should be a personal choice, not one that is imposed by society, religion or tradition. Of course a total free for all may result in an explosion of STD's that in turn would have a deleterous effect on the human race, so maybe agencies like Victoria Milan are very necessary.

Hey bartpcb, I'll back the free for all. If we pursued this with earnest vigour the body would develop an immunity naturally. I'm working on that theory despite the challenge. It will be my contribution to mankind.

Since you bring it up bartpcb, the latest surveillance reports by the Kirby Institute show the fastest rising incidents of newly diagnosed STIs is in the over 55 age group!

So even if you are over 55 remember: "if its not on, its not on!"

It appears to me that we are speaking of the opinions of a miniscule number of people, in the big picture, who were surveyed; and they are a very specific type of person. (I'd never heard of Victoria Milan dating agency for the married) ... If you were to ask all people equally there will still be those who prefer married ... or single ... or older ... or younger ... or same sex. In effect, this is a nonsense article and not worth getting upset over.

I am always bemused by these sorts of discussions. I don't think it is a particularly a male or female fault issue. As someone mentioned above it takes two to tango and both parties have to make a judgement that a relationship is to occur.

In some cases the woman or in some cases the man will take more of a leading role in initiating but that the way life is.

    Hogwash!
Most women who have affairs, do so, because they are unhappy in their marriage. Most men who have affairs, do so, to boost their ego..... so it's much more fun to be with a Single Woman, [with her own place, very convenient], with no hangups, husband and or children to work around!
