A tribute to Margaret Olley

One of the most respected figures of Australian art, Margaret Olley was born on this day in 1923. Margaret was a much-loved personality and was twice the subject of an Archibald Prize winning painting; first by William Dobell in 1948 and the second by Ben Quilty in 2011. As a painter of colourful still lifes and landscapes, Olley was second to none.
