She is completing the Associate Degree of Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT, does volunteer editing for the International Women’s Development Agency, and is currently working on her debut novel. When she isn’t working, studying or writing she loves eating avocados, doing martial arts, spending time with her cat, and taking trips to the coast with her partner-in-crime, Ted.

    Yahsoo, Amelia! My stepfather is Greek, and I would love to pass on to you a humorous observation I made a few years ago.

    Do you remember those rather nasty riots in Athens? Well, you know how Greeks are always so proud of their history and the fact that they gave democracy to the World, plus all that other amazing stuff, such as philosophy, art, mathematics and science?

    In that riot, they were throwing yoghurt, apparently.

    It occurred to me that only in Greece would they throw culture!

    Oh, and I love the English language – it’s the only language where a fat chance and a slim chance mean exactly the same thing…
