Chilli Lime Trout

Spice up your dinner time with this easy and healthy recipe. Packed with protein and rich in omega-3, this dish will have you salivating for more! Serve with a crisp green salad.

  • 4 (about 160g each) ocean trout steaks, skin on
  • cooking oil spray
  • 1/2 cup sweet chilli sauce
  • 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 limes cut into wedges
  • mixed green salad, to serve


Spray fish with cooking oil. Combine the sweet chilli sauce, lime juice and garlic in a bowl. Preheat a grill to medium. Grill trout, skin-side down, for about 2 minutes. Turn and cook, brushing occasionally with chilli sauce mixture, for about 4 minutes or until cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate. Add lime wedges to the grill and cook for 30 seconds each side or until browned. Remove from heat. Arrange salad on serving plates. Top with fish and lime wedges and drizzle with remaining chilli sauce.
