Our Ham and Cheese Sliders will put a big smile on the faces of young and old alike. After all, who doesn’t like melted cheese, especially when paired with ham?
Serves: Three to six
Time: 30 minutes
- 6 white dinner rolls
- 6 slices honey ham
- 6 small slices Swiss cheese
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
Poppy seed sauce:
- 1/4 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 tablespoon minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Preheat oven to 180ºC. Spread the mayonnaise onto both sides of each roll. Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss inside of each roll. Close rolls and place them into a large baking dish.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the poppy seeds, mustard, butter, minced onion and Worcester sauce. Pour over all of the rolls to cover the tops. Let sit for 10 minutes and then cover dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
Uncover and cook for two additional minutes, until tops are slightly brown and crispy. Serve warm.
