You are absolutely correct OG. Retirement “villages” are a great money spinner for the owners. They forget those who buy in are actually clients and treat then like “little old ladies” with no brains. (No sexism intended.) Living in a retirement facility gouges your money in every way the owners can imagine and not always honestly.

Why this “glowing” advert in the middle of what is supposed to be about social issues for older adults? Looks like a paid one to me. If it’s so great, why isn’t the price mentioned? Must be expensive! No thanks!!

In the email we received from Your Life Choices, under the photo (as shown above on this web page) in grey letters on a grey background so you can barely read it, it says “SPONSORED CONTENT.” Their capitals, not mine. Crafty!

PS Reminds me of an old Benny Hill skit, where he was portrayed as the owner of a resort, and when a prospective customer questioned Benny about the high cost of accommodation, when an advertisement for the resort stated “popular prices”, Benny replied, “Well, I like them!”
