Aldi snow sale promises to dress a family of four for less than $1000

There’s a definite chill in the air and with it comes Aldi’s annual snow gear sale.

The sale was cancelled last year due to COVID as it often attracts masses of shoppers wanting to snag a bargain. But today, it’s back.

Each year, the German retailer rolls out everything from jackets to goggles, boots and under layers, providing Aussie shoppers with everything to keep warm and dry while hitting the slopes.

Aldi’s Premium range is designed in Austria and made to withstand all extreme weather conditions from the Alps to the Snowy Mountains.

The range will be available in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes and the retailer has said that this year, there will be enough gear for shoppers to dress a family of four for less than $1000.

There are six varieties of snow jacket available for adults, ranging from a light knit jacket priced at $39.99 and soft shells ($59.99), all the way to a superior windproof, waterproof, breathable shell jacket with a removable inner jacket ($119.99), which is suitable for all alpine conditions.

On sale for kids aged 2-14 are five varieties of snow jacket and two types of snow pants with a water-resistant finish. Prices range from $24.99 to $39.99.

You can even snap up a new pair of kids snow boots (as they’re always growing out of them), for $19.99.

The sale also offers goggles, snow gloves, mittens. helmets, socks, beanies, scarves, underwear and leggings for kids, women and men.

Australia’s ski and snow retail sector is estimated to be worth more than $2 billion a year and Aldi is a strong contender.
