Royal Caribbean's newest Australian-based ship has just had a multimillion-dollar makeover.
Australia is really the lucky country, thanks to Royal Caribbean International’s newest offering.
In exciting news for anyone considering a cruise, Explorer of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International's newest Australian based ship, has emerged from multimillion-dollar renovations, six months ahead of her maiden Australian season.
Now featuring virtually identical amenities as twin ship Voyager of the Seas, the ship’s updates include a FlowRider surf simulator, new stateroom concepts, three new specialty dining restaurants, a host of new technologies, and a complete refresh of all public spaces and staterooms.
With industry-first Virtual Balcony staterooms, ship-wide wifi and flat panel TVs in every stateroom, Explorer of the Seas is slightly larger than sister ship Voyager of the Seas, meaning she will claim the title of the largest Australian-based ship when she arrives down under in November 2015.
As with all Voyager class ships, Explorer of the Seas also features the iconic ice-skating rink, rock climbing wall, a full size basketball and sports court and the Royal Promenade – an interior boulevard that runs nearly the entire length of the ship, designed to hold spectacular parades and evening dance parties.
What do you think of all these innovative features? Are facilities like these important to you when considering a cruise?
