Cheesy Garlic Bread

If a warm Cheesy Garlic Bread straight from the oven sounds like your cup of tea (or slice of bread), then today’s recipe will not disappoint. With loads of fresh herbs, they’re hard to resist.

Serves: Eight

Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 large sourdough loaf
  • 75g unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon  salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, minced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, minced
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic, salt, parsley, rosemary and thyme. With a knife cut the bread on a diagonal into 3cms ‘diamonds’, but don’t cut all the way through. Pry open each crack and drizzle one teaspoon of the butter-herb mixture and a pinch of cheese.

Wrap the bread in foil and place on a baking tray. Bake for 15 minutes and remove the foil before baking for another five minute. Serve immediately.
