Is this the dream retirement house?

If you’ve ever dreamed of the ultimate place where you could retire in peace and quiet, surrounded by the beauty of nature, then you’ll love the work of this Japanese architect.

Issei Suma, a genius Japanese architect known for his intriguing building designs, created this idyllic 100 square metre home, known as‘Jikka’, for two retired ladies, a caretaker and a cook. Now, obviously money was no object when designing this house, but, gee, it’s nice to dream of living in such a beautiful setting.

The structure takes the form of five tents, all interlinking and combining to create a building that sits in harmony with its environment. Featuring an indoor spiral pool and common kitchen, this is surely one of the most spectacular and ingenious structures around.
