Deals of the Week – Exercising, cleaning or getting away

What do the next few weeks hold for you? The cooler weather is a great time to knuckle down and work on your fitness. Or maybe get the house spick and span. Don’t worry about spring cleaning, autumn cleaning is where it’s at.

Perhaps you’ve got your heart set on more relaxing options, like getting away for a few days? Whatever your plans, YourLifeChoices’ Deals of the Week have you covered.

Rebel Sport

Winter is coming, but that doesn’t necessarily mean hibernation. Our coldest season can be a great opportunity to get yourself in shape ahead of next spring and summer. And Rebel Sport may be able to help you do so without breaking the bank

Want to get really serious and play some footy? Rebel has a range of football boots at up to 20 per cent off, even more if you choose the Adidas Predator Elite boots.

If you’d rather stick to jogging, try Asics GEL Nimbus 25 Anniversary Men’s Running Shoes at $179.99. That’s a 33 per cent discount. Or the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 40 Premium Women’s Running Shoes. These have had 35 per cent knocked off the retail price and are now just $129.99.

Not so keen on outdoor activities in winter? No problem. Keep fit with Rebel’s range of treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes and more. These have had up to 30 per cent knocked off the regular price.

And build up your strength with Rebel’s range of weight sets, down 40 per cent.

IGA

If you’re looking for a change from the ‘Big Two’ supermarkets you could do worse than head down to your local IGA. This week’s specials could help you get some pre-winter cleaning done on the cheap, thanks to a host of deals.

These include Dettol multipurpose biodegradable wipes at $6 and Bref Power Active Gel toilet cleaner at just $3.50. That’s half price in both cases. Then there’s White King bleach at $3.65 ($1.15 off) and Drano Bathroom Max Gel for $13.30 (a $3.40 discount). You’ll also get 30 per cent off a Vileda ‘Sweep Master’ broom ($8.20 each) and a Handee Ultra paper towel three-pack for just $4 (20 per cent off).

Once you’ve done all that cleaning, you’ll surely deserve a treat. IGA’s got you covered in that department, too, with a range of Cadbury bars for just $1 – better than half price. Or, if savoury treats are more your thing, check out IGA’s crisp specials. Selected varieties of CC’s and Natural Chip Co flavours are available for $3.50, a $1.50 reduction from the usual price.

IGA has also knocked 50 cents off its Red Rock Deli chips and crackers.

Jetstar Sunshine Coast specials

Let’s face it, though, life doesn’t have to be all about getting yourself fitter and your house cleaner. Sometimes you just need to get away and relax. So, how about the Sunshine Coast?

If that sounds like a good idea to you, Jetstar has a sale on flights right now. From Adelaide, you can get to the Sunshine Coast for as little as $89. And that price also holds true if you’re flying from Melbourne.

For those of you in Sydney, Jetstar’s flights to the Sunshine Coast are even cheaper at $59 or just $49 if you’re happy to hold on until the new year.

There’s one rider on these prices, though. Jetstar’s offer on flights at these prices ends on April 21. That’s this Sunday, so get in quick. Otherwise, you might have to stick to exercise and cleaning all winter.
