Deals of the Week: Budget bonanzas

Treasurer Jim Chalmers has handed down this year’s budget, and from what Labor has been telling us, we’re all winners! That may or may not be true for you, depending on your circumstances.

Either way, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be taking advantage of some great deals. Any saving is a good saving! Here are some deals we’ve uncovered this week that could make you even more of a winner.

Decathlon

Decathlon have announced a sale which includes online items that they say are “up to 70 per cent off”. As unbelievable as that sounds, it is true. In fact, Decathlon’s online specials include some items that even more than 70 per cent off the original price.

Take the Dare 2B Men’s Frost Quilted Hybrid Jacket for example. At just $75.32, this winter warmer comes in at a whopping 77 per cent off its original price of $325.99. Or how about the Trespass Women’s Sisely Waterpoof Softshell Jacket? It’s been reduced to $39.87 from $203.99. That’s 80 per cent off the tag price!

And there’s plenty more besides in Decathlon’s online store, all with huge discounts. Whether it’s jackets, t-shirts, shorts, or even boxing mittens, Decathlon’s got you covered.

The Good Guys

Decathlon’s range will Kambrook 2400W Upright Fan Heater

help you keep warm outside, but what about indoors? The nights are getting colder across much of Australia now. It’s on nights like these you might discover a nook in the house that is colder than other parts.

For such place, a portable heater might be the best solution. And that’s where the Good Guys come in. They have a range of portable heaters to choose from that have been marked down for the final days of autumn.

These include the Kambrook 2400W Upright Fan Heater, down from $95 to $85. Or the top-selling DeLonghi 1000W Radia S Oil Column Heater with Timer. Normally priced at $135, it’s currently only $121. Or for those cold feet under the desk in the study, the Good Guys have got the Nordic Low Profile Fan Heater. It’s down from $38 to just $34.

The Good Guys have other heaters on special, too. Check out the full range here. Even the savings you make will make you feel warmer even before the heater arrives.

Don’t dilly dally, though. These prices are only in place until tomorrow, Friday 17 May.

Whatever savings you’ll glean from the federal budget, there’s still more to be had on your next grocery shop. The new Woolworths catalogue is chock full of specials, including some great half-price deals.

Dynamo Professional Laundry Liquid has been slashed from $29 to just $14.50. And there’s a 450g pack of Kellogg’s Corn Flakes at just $2.95! That’s normally priced at $5.90. Or how about some good old Continental Cup Soup. This range is down from $2.80 to $1.40. That’s a whole bunch of winter warmers at half price.
