Hummus Dip

Hummus is a delightfully healthy and tasty choice for a special occasion. Or why not spread it on your toast in the morning or sandwich for lunch for a different twist to your norm?

Makes: Two cups

Time: 15 minutes


  • 500g can chickpeas
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped



In a food processor, puree chickpeas, garlic, tahini, juice and cumin, until mixed. Next, pour in the olive oil and process again until the mixture is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Place in a serving bowl and garnish with parsley.
