Saucy Slow-Cooked Beef

It may take some time to cook but gee it’s worth the wait. And besides, your oven does all the work. Our Saucy Slow-Cooked Beef is a flavoursome way to enjoy melt-in-your-mouth meat. Add some roast veggies for a winning winter meal.

Serves: Four

Time: Eight hours and 20 minutes (cooking time included) 

Ingredients

  • 450g tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 450g sirloin beef roast

 

Method

In a slow cooker, add all of your ingredients except for the beef and stir gently until combined. Then add the beef, ensuring it is covered by the sauce. Cook on a low setting for eight hours. Once finished, slice the beef and serve with a drizzle of the sauce and vegetables.
