Makes 16

Ingredients
300g beef mince
2 sheets frozen puff pastry, partially thawed
1 brown onion, finely chopped
1 carrot, peeled, grated
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon flat-leaf parsley leaves, chopped
1/3 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
1 teaspoon of veggie stock powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon milk
Tomato sauce

Method
Preheat your oven to 220°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.

Combine your onion, carrot, egg, parsley, mince, herbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and stock powder in a large bowl and mix well.

Cut your pastry sheets in half.
Along one long edge of pastry, shape one quarter of the mince mixture into a sausage.
Roll up the pastry to trap the mince inside and cut the roll into four.
Place on the tray seam-side down.
Repeat with the remaining pastry sheets and mixture.
Brush the top of the sausage rolls with milk and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and puffed.

Allow to cool on the tray for about five minutes and serve with tomato sauce.
