Are you tired of constantly running out of storage on your iPhone due to the countless photos taking up precious space?
Having an excess of photos on your Apple device often means having to purchase additional iCloud storage, which can be an unwanted expense. To avoid this, users may attempt to delete the hundreds of unnecessary images stored on their device, but this can be incredibly time-consuming.
Fortunately, Apple has provided a useful tool in the Photos app that allows you to remove duplicate images effortlessly. The app automatically detects any photos that you may have saved more than once and provides an option to remove them instantly.
To access this feature, open the Apple Photos app and navigate to the Albums section. Scroll down until you find the “Duplicates” folder located under the Utilities section. Here, you’ll discover all the duplicate images stored on your device.
You can review each duplicate photo and tap “Merge” to clear them individually. Alternatively, you can select multiple photos by tapping “Select” at the top, followed by “Select All,” and then tap “Merge” to bulk-delete them.
Once you’ve cleared all the duplicates, the folder will disappear, freeing up valuable storage space on your iPhone.
It’s important to note that this feature requires at least iOS 16 installed on your device.
