Have you ever heard of ‘The Happy Chef’? It’s Mel Alafaci – with whom you may already be acquainted from our podcast and recipes on the website.

Here’s her signature recipe on how to transform a boring tin of tuna into a culinary delight.
      1. Add crunchy onion to tinned tuna for valuable crunch and personality
      2. Add diced pear or apple or carrot or capsicum if you prefer.
      3. Keep everything in small chunks.
      4. Dress with plain yogurt or mayo…then add some sexy cracked black pepper to spice it up (not sure why black pepper is sexy, but …).
      5. Can also add dried powdered mushroom or grainy/dijon mustard to make it a bit more fancy.
      6. Next, you need to present it like a pro. Use a stacking ring or peanut butter jar (cut off the sides), or watch this video to stack like a pro.

You can also serve on lettuce or rocket to give it a healthy base.

Use a pepper mayo drizzle to finish it off.

Your tinned tuna will reach new culinary heights. Tell us your tinned tuna recipes!
