Think about it, why don’t men wear skirts?
Women faced tremendous backlash in a more oppressive time when they started wearing pants, but they got through it and it’s not even an issue now.
We live in a much more accepting era, but still somehow there is a taboo against men in skirts.
Is it because wearing something associated with women is inherently bad? Kind of confirms that society views anything to do with women as a bit dodgy.
Aren’t men brave enough?
Sure, there are kilts and a few brave souls wearing skirts, usually die-hard fashion fans and a few cultures have traditional clothing that in any other culture would be called skirts, Fiji’s sulus come to mind, but otherwise it would be laughable from Brian down the road to head off to the shops in a fetching wrap mini on a hot day.
Probably the nearest I can think of men embracing skirts is the surfing culture and sarongs, but that is a mini subset of the population.
What do you think, should men try wearing skirts?
Why is this article here? I don’t care if men wear skirts, but they had better not say they are a woman.
