Blinky Bill hits the big time

Australia’s favourite koala, Blinky Bill, has come a long way since his first appearance in 1933. Blinky’s first book Blinky Bill: The Quaint Little Australian which was written and illustrated by Dorothy Wall, was based on stories told to her only child, Peter.

The books have attained classic status and are so ingrained into Australian culture that they’ve never been out of print since they were first published.

Our cult-hero has recently been given an animated makeover for his new full-length feature film due for release in September 2015.
