Steak and Rocket Salad

Get a wholesome dose of iron and greens with our Steak and Rocket Salad, plus some heart-healthy flavonoids when enjoyed with a glass of red.

Serves: One

Time: 10 minutes


  • 1 x 200g steak
  • extra virgin olive oil, as needed
  • salt and pepper, to season
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 handfuls rocket
  • 6 cherry tomatoes
  • parmesan shavings, to serve


Slice the steak into fine strips, drizzle with olive oil and season. Over a high heat cook the beef in a hot fry-pan for about one minute. Then stir and keep cooking to your liking.

While the steak is cooking, mix the lemon juice with two tablespoons of olive oil in a bowl. Then halve the cherry tomatoes and set aside.

When the steak is cooked, toss with the rocket leaves and cherry tomatoes in a serving bowl, drizzle over the lemon dressing and serve with parmesan shavings on top. Enjoy with a glass of red.
