Never forget your parking location

There’s nothing more frustrating than forgetting where you parked your car and being unable to find it. The latest Google Maps update solves this problem for you.

Available on both the iPhone and Android versions of Google Maps, you can now implement a location marker on your phone that makes finding where you parked your car easy.

Open Google Maps and tap the blinking blue dot on the map, which represents your current location. From the menu that appears, tap ‘Set as parking location’.

If you want to share your parking location with a friend, press the ‘Share’ button within the ‘Saved parking’ bar at the bottom of the map’s interface.

Now that you have your parking spot saved, it’s time to tell you how to track its location for when you are ready to find it again.

Press the ‘Directions’ button in the ‘Saved parking’ bar to see directions to your spot or press the ‘Start’ button for guided navigation.

Once you are done, press the ‘Clear’ button to remove the saved location.
