Five best cinemas in the world

You’ll experience seeing more than just a movie if you go to one of these five amazing theatres. It’s all about the ambiance.

Sci-fi dine-in theatre, Orlando, Florida

A movie experience like no other, this 1950s diner-style cinema lets you enjoy a movie retro-style, with the all-American cuisine to match.

Electric Cinema, London

Electric is located in the Notting Hill district. Choose a leather armchair seat, a two-seater couch at the rear of the theatre or a velvet double bed in the front row. You will also be provided with individual cashmere blankets.

The Paramount Theater, Oakland, California

Built in 1931, this Art Deco theatre is Oakland’s premier entertainment venue. Enjoying its architecture is worth the price of admission alone besides the variety of productions and films on offer.

Sun Pictures Cinema, Broome, Australia

Built in 1916, this is the world’s oldest operating ‘outdoor picture garden’, with seating made of deck chairs and lavatories marked ‘Humphrey’s’ and ‘Vivien’s’.

Orinda Theatre, California

Another Art Deco gem, this elegant theatre was built in the 1940s. The impeccable architecture makes for a wonderful cinema experience, even when the lights go down. The wonderful star-studded ceiling glows like the night sky.

Would you see a movie in one of these cinemas? Which is your favourite cinema in the world?
