You can earn frequent flyer points without even knowing it, by going about your daily life. Over time, you can accumulate enough points to pay for flights – both domestic flights within Australia, or international flights to New Zealand, Fiji, or even London.

Here’s a simple guide to get you earning Qantas frequent flyer points.

1. Join the Qantas Frequent Flyer program
By using this link to join, you will save the normal $99.50 joining fee.

2. Join Woolworths Rewards

Around Christmas time they have bonus points offers and you can earn up to 10 points per dollar. Imagine that: your Christmas shopping is getting you a free flight!

4. Review your credit cards
If you don’t have a credit card that earns Qantas points, assess your situation and see if it would work for you. You would earn Qantas points for each dollar you spend on your credit card, and some Qantas credit cards give healthy sign-up bonus points.

5. Download the Qantas Wellbeing app
You can earn points for sleeping, and walking. Yes, it’s that simple. The app is provided by Qantas Insurance, but you don’t need to take out a Qantas insurance policy to earn points.

By remembering these tips as you go about your day, you’ll be a step closer each day to a free trip. Set yourself a goal to get to Los Angeles or even London. Or, if shorter trips are more your style, get yourself to Darwin or Auckland.
