Travel Vision: Baggage handlers behaving badly

Do you ever worry about how your bag is handled once it’s checked in?

Travel Vision: Baggage handlers behaving badly

The only things you should pack in your checked in bag are clothes, shoes and unbreakable objects. Why? This footage of baggage handlers behaving badly will show you.

It’s not to say that all airlines have staff that behave this badly. And, being Daily Mail TV footage, it is more likely to be extreme cases of misbehaviour on display. Still, some of the tips that follow the footage are invaluable, others, again, are a little over the top.

Have you ever had a bad baggage experience?

And also to travel over USA you need a visa even if you are in transit and in Los Angeles get ready for many hours wait to immigrations

On a trip from Brisbane to L.A I packed 2 x fishing rods. I packaged them in sturdy rod tubes. I put pool noodle on the butts and tips. I also zip tied the zip. On arriving at L.A we booked a taxi to our hotel, while waiting for our turn on the taxi rank I noticed the zip tie wasn’t there. I opened the rod tube and found both fishing rods snapped at the tips. I went back in to complain but no- one wanted to hear about the problem.

The standard of U.S. airlines is known to be well below international standards so their baggage handlers are probably a reflection of this. We ghad one transit through L.A. to Canada and immigration was fairly quick, and courteous, as was customs.
In general however I would avoid transitting through the U.S. if possible. It is surprising how backward they can be at times.

Really? Watching this video you would think this happens to every traveller. I have been travelling for more than 40 years and never had a problem, nor have friends, family or acquaintances. Let's get a bit of balance into this please. I concede that the USA may be an exception.
